What We Do

Andrea Rowe
Director & Planning Consultant

Andrea is the Director of The Planning Table and has more than 20 years' experience working across both local government and private planning.

Originally from Taupō, Andrea began her planning career there before making South Taranaki home over 20 years ago. Living and working in the region has given her a strong understanding of the local communities, planning challenges and opportunities that make Taranaki unique.

Having worked on both sides of the planning process, Andrea understands what councils need to assess an application and what clients need to achieve their goals. This experience allows her to provide practical advice, prepare well-considered applications and manage projects from the first idea through to the final outcome.

Over the years, Andrea has built a trusted network of professionals across Taranaki and beyond. She knows that good planning often means getting the right people involved at the right time. Whether a project needs a surveyor, architect, engineer, lawyer, traffic specialist or another technical expert, Andrea can bring the right people to the table and help keep everyone working towards the same goal.

Andrea has worked on a wide range of projects, including residential developments, rural subdivisions, business expansions, quarry operations, community facilities and other land use activities. No two projects are quite the same, and her experience means she can quickly identify what needs attention, who needs to be involved and the best way forward.

Her approach is straightforward, practical and honest. Andrea believes planning shouldn't be confusing, so she takes the time to explain the process, answer questions and provide clear advice that helps clients make informed decisions.

When she's not working, you'll often find Andrea spending time with family, supporting the local community or making the most of everything Taranaki has to offer.
